How Does It Work?
In the fewest words possible, MP3puzzled web services will provide you with a specialist MP3 price comparison service to allow you to generate additional revenue from your website or blog, while you maintain the majority proportion of any click-throughs and sales.
Our service will return a set of prices for the desired track/album as well as links to purchase the music. These links are routed via each retailer's affiliate scheme generating sales revenue for your website.
In the majority of cases we insert your affiliate ID into these links such that any click-throughs or commission on sales earned are yours. In the remaining number of cases our own affiliate IDs are used, but none of this is visible from your user's point of view. For example, if partnering with a 70:30 split, 70% (on average) of any click-throughs or sales will be your earnings, while the remaining 30% (on average) will be assigned to us.
Our service is completely FREE for you to use. Since we share your sales revenue, if you happen to make no sales in any given time frame, we too will earn nothing. I.e. unless you are earning, we are not. This makes our service ideal for start-up websites or blogs who perhaps have very small, or non-existent, budgets.
Affiliate Linking
The retailers we feature offer affiliate programs whereby referrers can earn commission on sales referred from their website/blog/emails/etc. The referrer is normally identified by an affiliate ID passed to the retailer's affiliate program so that any click-throughs and sales can be recorded as originating from them.
All our partners will be required to sign up to the affiliate scheme for each retailer. When you do so, you will be provided with an affiliate ID for each scheme. Once you send these IDs to us we can get you set up on our systems so that these IDs are inserted into the appropriate links automatically.
This takes all the hassle of link building and management off your shoulders. You will simply start to see click-throughs and sales appearing in your affiliate accounts.
This method also means that you will stay in control of your own earnings. There is no need for us to be a 'middle-man' passing on comission. It also allows you to monitor your own success rates without needing to request this information from us.
Different retailers pay different comission rates, with Amazon MP3 topping the list at 10%. This is a very respectable commission rate and since Amazon is often one of the cheapest, and a very trusted retailer, you will see a high proportion of sales from this retailer.
If for any reason you do not wish to sign up to a retailer's affiliate scheme, this is no problem, we will simply insert our own ID for these links. Similarly, when we first grant you access to our API, until you send us your own IDs, our IDs will be used. This means that your MP3 price comparison widget/website can go 'live' immediately if required, even before you have all your IDs (because some of the affiliate schemes can take a few days to process your affiliate application).
